How Do I Use Canva?
Not just everybody can use Canva. To use the site, you need to sign in. And if you have nothing to sign in with….then create an account.
On the top menu, you’ll find the following features:
• Templates, which is full of thousands of designs organized into different categories to help you easily find what you need.
• Features shows you photos, icons, print media, apps and more to help you design what you need.
• Learn has blog articles, short tutorials and in-depth courses to help you learn more about design.
• Pricing shows you how to go Pro or apply for a not-for-profit account.
You may customize and edit all design elements to best suit your needs.
Don’t Forget to Look at Canva’s side menu
Canva allows you to find and organize your own designs and to create folders to keep things tidy. You may also share individuals designs or folders with collaborators.
The Recommended tab, meanwhile, shows you things that you may like based on your designs. The Shared with you page makes it easy to find collaborative designs. Finally, Trash has any designs, images or videos that you’ve deleted.
Other Features
Create a Team is exactly what the name suggests. You can create an online team to collaborate on designs, brainstorm different ideas, and leave feedback for one another, all within the Canva editor.
Another feature allows you to type in specific keywords in the search bar to quickly fund new elements and templates.
You can also improve your workflow by customizing the side panel in the Editor. Click MORE at the base of the side panel and then choose the content you’d like to add for quick access.
Canva also has a huge library of design elements, such as high-quality photos, free GIFs, stock videos, and background music. Keep in mind, most of this is free but Canva charges a small fee for other things.
Canva also allows you to add text to your design.
Do the following:
• Go to Text in the side panel
• Search for font styles in the search bar or use of the preset text styles to easily click and drag a heading, subheading, or body text.
• You’ll find more text editing options if you click the three dots at the right end of the text editing menu.
Sharing and Collaborating Designs
To add a collaborator, one who can leave feedback as comments in your design, in the top right corner, do the following:
• Click Share.
• Type in the collaborator’s email address and include a message or notes.
• Set the collaborator’s level of access (options include full edit access, can comment, can view (can’t comment or edit) and then click send.
